My name is Cassie Kulhanek and I am excited to be Columbus ISD's District Librarian! I spend the majority of my school time at CES but also spend time at CHS and CJHS each week. This is my 10th year with Columbus ISD. I taught kindergarten for four years, one year 4th grade Science and Social Studies, one year 3rd grade Science and Social Studies. This is my 4th year as the District Librarian. I was born and raised in Columbus, TX. I attended Columbus ISD K - 12th and graduated with honors from CHS. I obtained my A.A. in Psychology from Blinn, my B.S. in Psychology from University of Phoenix, and earned my teaching certificate through WCACP. I also student taught 4th grade and then was a substitute teacher at CES. I am EC-6 Generalist and ESL certified. I also hold certifications in ELAR/Social Studies 4-8 and Math/Science 4-8. I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Master of Library Science (MLS) in December 2018. My husband, Colby, and I have been married for 15 years. I have two sons and a daughter, as well as a stepson. I absolutely love to read and talk about reading and books, as well as spend time outdoors with my family, swim, take pictures, and enjoy our country life.
 I am looking forward to a great and exciting year ahead!!!
