Welcome!

I attended Columbus schools, and I am a graduate of Columbus High School. I attended Blinn College and then transferred to Texas A&M, where I earned my bachelor's degree in finance. I received my teaching certification through the U of H graduate program and my Master's Degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University.

This is my second year as the Librarian/Media Specialist at the elementary campus. This is my 22nd year in education. My experience includes teaching English Language Arts at the junior high level, English and CTE classes at the high school, and technology classes at the elementary school. In my current position as the elementary school librarian and media specialist, I strive to provide a welcoming environment where students can grow as readers and prepare themselves for future success at the secondary level. I am also part of the technology team, and I help students and teachers with program needs.
